FACE Stockholm Plum

Todays Look

I shot this photo in the evening so that's why I used the flash. I was doing my makeup this morning so it's been on for the whole day and is still looking good.

I love this eyeshadow from FACE Stockholm.  iIt's called "Plum" and I love this shade. When I don't really know what to do with my makeup I often choose this eyeshadow. Matte eyeshadows sometimes tend to look a little bit uneven on the eyelids, but with this eyeshadow you don't have that problem. It looks even on the eyelids and stays on for the whole day.

So if you like matte eyeshadows, then I recommend FACE Stockholm!

I've used
Face
Clarins Skin Illusion Foundation - 103 Ivory
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer - Ivory
Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Powder - N.10
Make Up Store Blush - Kiss On The Cheeks
MAC Skinfinish Extra Definition - Definitely Defined
Anastasia Brow Powder Duo - Medium Brown

MAC Lipstick Craving

Craving is one of my favourite lipsticks from MAC, although it has that satin finish that I usually don't go for, I really think it works in this case. This lipstick comes from the cremesheen-family from MAC and they are really moisturising and have a creamy consistency.

A little nice detail is that it has a fresh vanilla scent!

I've used:
Face
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer - Porcelain
Chanel Blush Horizon De Chanel - Soft Glow Blush
Anastasia Brow Powder Duo - Medium Brown

MAC Eyeshadow - Tempting
Maybelline Colossal Mascara WP - Black

YSL Gloss Volupte

We are back in business! It's been a while.. the time haven't been there for either me or Beata but now we are back with more tips and tricks.

Today I'm going to show you my all time favourite lip gloss. I'm usually not a sucker for lip glosses cause I go crazy when they are sticky. YSL Gloss Volupte was marketed as a non-sticky lip gloss so when I first saw that I didn't believe that it was true but I was hoping that I was wrong.. aaand, YEP! I was wrong. I don't even thought that a lip gloss could feel this nice on the lips. I really think this is the best lip gloss that I ever tried. I wear it a lot and it's my "go to" product and it has been for a long time now.

As usual with non-sticky lip glosses you have to apply them more often than if they had been a little more sticky, but for me it's thousand times better.

This colour is gorgeous. I love that shade om my pale skin and it's doesn't become that strong on the lips as it looks in the tube. This one is called 49 Terriblement Fuchsia.

Zoeva Brushes

From the left: Powder 106, Silk finish 102, Face Shape 110, Luxe Cheer Cheek 127, Concealer Buffer 142, Luxe Soft Definer 227, Petit Crease 231 & Wing Liner 317.

I already got to many brushes in my collection, but I just love to try out new ones! There have been thousands of reviews about these brushes, but you can't get enough and I really want to talk about them too.

Firstly, they look lovely! They are designed with a dark brown matte handle combined with rose gold, the BEST combination for a brush design in my opinion. Some of the brushes are made of both natural & synthetic hairs and that's really good since you can choose if you want to use cream or powder products with the brushes.

One thing that tend to annoy me with brushes is when you applying makeup they tend to shed, and that happens too often I think. BUT Zoeva's brushes doesn't shed ANY hair.. That's a big thing!

My favorite brush is silk finish! The combination with real and synthetic hair makes blending a piece of cake. Silk finish is by far the best brush I've ever used to apply foundation. I also use this to apply my Chanel Les Beige Powder, sometimes without foundation underneath, and it gives you a really nice finish.

I like all of the brushes, but as always you get a couple of favorites and another one that I really love is concealer buffer. I usually apply my concealer with my fingers and think that's the best way to buff the concealer into the skin. But with this brush it works just as it is. As the name says it buffs in the product and it's works.

I have washed them a couple of times and that is an easy task, they don't shed when you clean them and they don't take too long to get dry either.

You also get a makeup bag with this set and it's looks and feels exclusive with brown leather and the rose gold Zoeva logo.

I'm really happy with the price, you get so much value for your money. You get 8 brushes for 65.00 EUR, and they are amazing so it's totally worth it. I also think with this set you basically get all you need to get stared if you are new to brushes.

So over all, you can tell that I love these brushes, A LOT! If you could, go get them, you won't be disappointed.

I bought them from their own website: https://www.zoeva-shop.de

Natural Healthy Skin

I was going to talk about my new base routine because I changed it completely after I got home from London in June (last year) when I bought a lots of new products. I have been using the products every single day since I got home and thought it would be fun for you to know what I use. I love the finish and it looks so healthy!

Moisturizer/Foundation
I start by applying my daycream from Exuviance and let it sink into my skin before I put on my foundation, I'm using YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat in "BR20" and apply it with Real Techniques foundation brushes. They have slightly different variations foundation brushes and I try them all to see which one will be my favorite. I really like this foundation and I have been using it for a long time even before I was in London. The finish is sheer and the texture are liquid but it cover up well either way. I think this foundation are good for daytime and it stay on the hole day if you use a powder on top of it.

Concealer
After the foundation I cover up some imperfections and dark circles under my eyes with my concealers and I use two different concealers.

There are two things you should consider when you choose concealer and that is the use of contrasting colors. If you want to cover red then your concealer have a green undertone, and it often results in a yellow tone because you can not always notice the green, but it has a green undertone.

If you want to cover blue then you should buy one that has a pink/red undertone because it neutralizes the blue.

The first thing I cover up are red spots and imperfection in the skin and I'm using Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer in "Light 01" and I like it a lot cause it's liquid but cover up really good and I think it's hard to find a concealer that's not have a thick texture and still cover well and doesn't look cakey. I'm using Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Brush to apply this concealer and buff it in to the skin.

The other one is Magic Concealer from Helena Rubinstein in "01" and I use it under my eyes. Because I'm so pale it's hard to find a concealer that is lighter then my skin but this one is sooo perfect for me and if you are going to cover up under your eyes you need a concealer that is a little bit lighter then you skintone. I discovered this concealer by a colleague at work who told me about it because it is so light, and it's really amazing.
The texture is quite liquid but it covers really well, even more than Double Wear concealer and because I think I need the most coverage under the eyes that's really good for me. Under the eye I prefer to use my fingers when I apply the concealer because I think it gives a little bit better coverage and I just buff it in with my fingers and remember to be a little careful when you apply it because you have very thin skin around the eyes.

Powder
Continues with my powder and I'm using Chanel Les Beiges in "Nr10" (the lightest shade)
and I love this powder so much, it doesn't look powdery on the skin and it just melt into the skin perfectly, and I think it's so good for a dry skin. I don't get oily during the day but if you tend to do that I would go for a loose powder that you really work into the skin.
But this powder works really good for me (I have really dry skin) and it gives you a natural healthy look and glow to the skin, so if you like that kind of finish I really recommend this powder! Applying the powder with Chanel Powder Brush.

Brows
Next step, brows! I bought this eyeshadow some months ago and I think it's match my brows really good and I colour my eyebrows because I like a little more defined eyebrows. I use MAC Eyeshadow "Charcoal Brown" to fill in my brows and I'm using Real Techniques Eyebrow Brush. Start by apply the shadow on the top of the brows and then fill in the rest of the eyebrows. I like kind of defined brows, but that's just a matter of taste.

Highlighter/Bronzer
For highlighter I using MAC Skinfinish Extra Definition "Definitely Defined" and I've been talking a lot about this lovely product before, but you can't talk enough about it. I LOVE this highlighter and I got it on Ebay because it's no longer available in the stores. Don't know what to do when it's runs out. I use this to highlight my cheekbones and I also put some on my nose. As you can see on the picture, it really gives that healthy glow to the skin. I apply it with Real Techniques contour brush.

And then it's time for shading/bronzer. I'm using Dior Nude Tan Paradise Duo Pink Glow 001 and it's the lightest shade. I always used to have a hard time to find a bronzer that works for my pale skin. This one is perfect for me. It's a two in one product with a bronzer on one side and a pink toned blush on the other side. If I'm using it to bronzing up my skin or for shading I'm just use the bronzer. You can blend them all together and then it's going to give you a little bit of more glow because the blush have som shimmer in it. And the bronzers are matte. Applying this I'm using Real Techniques Contour Brush.

Blush
My favorite blush is Chanel Blush Horizon De Chanel - Soft Glow Blush. I love this blush! Sadly it's not in the range anymore. Maybe you can get it on Ebay if you want one. But I can't use just one blush all the time, that's gets boring.. I like to play around with blushes, ut depends on which mood I'm in that day. For applying my blush I'm using Tom Ford blush brush, this is the GREATEST blush brush I ever tried. So go and get one! ;) It's really really soft but still has enough bounce.

Mascara
Some of you may not think that mascara should be in "base routine" but for me it's a very important thing to apply because if I don't wear mascara I look, kind of dead.. haha! I have very light eyelashes and not to long either. So I have to put some mascara on! I use Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Mascara Waterproof. The reason that I use waterproof mascara is that my eyelashes always tend to fall down after I have curled and apply my mascara and this is the only one that holds them up. And I've tried several waterproof mascaras in different brands but this is the only one that works for me, so I stick to it!

Here are pictures of the products:

Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures before I put on some eyeshadow, my mistake!
But here are some pictures of the base anyway!

I hope you liked this post! See you next time! :)
