Burberry Nailpolish

I have som goodies from Burberry nail polish range and they are gorgeous!
I often fall for these shades, they feel natural and earthy. I really like Burberrys makeup line and I have to say that the nail polishes are also really good. Even if they belong to high-end makeup, I think they also have a reasonable price.
They stay on for a long time and don't crackle.
But remember to always wear base coat and top coat with your nail polishes. Base coat protects the nails to not become discoloured. Top coat helps the nail polishes to stay on longer and also give an extra shine.

YSL Volupte Tint-in-oil

YSL
Volupte tint-in-oil
OH MY GOLD

A revolutionary lip color with a lip tint suspended in a deep conditioning oil. Coat your lips with this lip tint for a lightweight texture that instantly melts onto lips. It is infused with a blend of four essential oils for deep hydration: apricot kernel oil, coriander fruit oil, jojoba seed oil, and possiflora edulis seed oil. Its exclusive applicator envelops the lips in full color and allows for a precise and uniform application. Lightweight and non-sticky, this lip tint offers a new and luminous shine while the tint effect enhances the natural beauty of the lips—making it the perfect combination for youthful looking lips.

A new release from YSL is the Volupte Tint-in-oil. This product states, as above, to hydrate your lips while giving a hint of colour. This is supposed to enhance your own natural lipcolour, if I got it right. And when tested on me and my guinea pig (my mom) we both got different colour payoff after a few minutes after application. My lips got a bit of a medium, pinky rosy colour while my moms lips got a paler rosy pink.
I got OH MY GOLD and it’s nothing gold about it, the name is completely misleading as is the gold colour on the packaging (the colour depends on which one you get, one is purple, one is pink, you get it) and at first glance I wouldn’t pick this one based on the name and the gold on the packaging. But I swatched every single shade and let them sit on the back of my hand for a few minutes to let the colour develop. And surprise, surprise this was the one I thought had the prettiest hint of pink and coral with tiny gold flecks in it which surprised me ’cause the little sticker on the top of the lid which gives you an idea of the colour was pale yellow/gold. So if you’re going to invest in one of these, swatch them to see their real colour shade since they are rather misleading…

After a few hours of wear

The packaging is, of course, gorgeous and slick with the silver and the gold (on this one) and when applied it’s rather oily which isn’t surprising hence the name. After 2-3 hours the product sinks in to your lips and leaves a slight stain of colour which I love when it comes to glosses. My lips felt really plump and hydrated. I think the product does what it’s supposed to and if you like something that’s hydrating while being glossy and having a hint of colour this should be right up your alley!

Givenchy Lipstick Vibrant Fuchsia

Bright pinks are one of my favourite shades in lipsticks when I want to do a little more with my makeup. I think they go so well together with my skin and it's an easy way to make the makeup look a bit more fancy.

Tom Ford Makeup Brushes

Tom Ford Makeup Brushes

05 Bronzer brush 80£

IT’S SO FLUFFY!! That’s how I’d describe the Tom Ford Bronzer brush! As the rest of the Tom Ford brush range it’s got white bristles and made from natural hair. It’s densely packed, not to dense though and the bristles are long so you get movement from the brush which helps blend the product and makes it perfect for applying bronzer and powder. The bristles are not cut but instead placed which makes the brush unbelievably soft! It is without a doubt the softest brush I’ve ever felt and is a dream to use. I’ve had my brush for about 18 months and washed it numerous times with no fallout. After each wash the bristles return to their white state and keep their shape. I dry ALL my brushes upside down to minimize the risk of water disolving the glue in the handle. I also shape the brush to it’s originial shape and thanks to these precautions the brush still looks and feels brand new after washing.
The brush itself is quite weighty and feels as luxurious as it looks. I mostly use it with my Hourglass Ambient lighting powder in Radiant Light, and together they give a beautiful finish. This is a brush I could not live without and I would not hesitate to buy a new one if I lost it.

06 Cheek brush 62£

As with the bronzer brush it is fluffy but the bristles are shorter and it’s denser so when applying blush you have to have a light hand so you wont overdo it. When dipping the brush into the product you should only dip the very top of the brush so the edges are clean to blend the blush evenly. I usually use it with the Tom Ford blushes and it’s a match made in heaven except for with narcissist when you barely need to touch the blusher to overload the brush, it’s THAT pigmented. The Cheek brush is love.

05 Shade and illuminate brush 58£

As the name suggests this is for Tom Ford's shade and illuminate contour kit. I rarely contour so I don’t get much use from this brush but it is really good together with the shade and illuminate. Since it is supposed to be used with a cream product the bristles are synthetic. It is a flat, square, short bristled brush so you get controll and precision. At the same time you can easily blend the product out with this brush to achieve the barely there shadow underneath your cheekbones. This is a quite unique brush and I can’t recall seeing a similar brush anywhere.

11 Eyeshadow brush 43£

This is a rather flat, long bristled, tapered eyeshadow brush and ideal for applying and blending. It’s made from natural bristles. Personally I use it to apply eyeshadow and not blending. This one is a must have for me since I use it everytime I do my eyes. It’s the first one I reach for. It’s soft and fluffy but not to fluffy. It picks up the right amount of product. It’s a keeper.

12 Eyeshadow contour 43£

This is also made from natural bristles, it’s short and dense and slightly angled to get precision. This is my ultimate brush for using beneath the eyes to add intensity. If clean, you can also use it to blend especially liners and shadow underneath the eyes to soften the look.

13 Blending brush 43£

As the name suggests this brush is meant for blending and that’s what I use it for. It’s got natural, long, white and fluffy bristles and is the perfect blending brush. I love it and plan to buy another one becuase in all honesty you can never have enough blending brushes, right?

14 Smoky eye brush 42£

If I had to pick a favourite it’d be this one! A pointed, dense pencil brush made from natural hairs! It’s amazing, just amazing! I always like to define the lower lashline and this blends it out into that grungy heroinchic look which I love. I’m definitely buying more of this one when my wallet agrees with me.

15 Eyeliner and definer 42£

And last we’ve got the eyeliner brush which again is made by natural bristles. The bristles are very short and it’s neither fluffy nor dense, it’s somewhere in the middle. I don’t usually use this for eyeliner, instead it’s perfect for applying hightlighter to the inner corners of the eyes.

All of the Tom Ford brushes I own are amazing and wonderfully luxurious brushes which makes applying makeup a dream.
